The SNI Story
SNI Natural Hair Care was founded by Sofia, a research scientist with a background in drug development in Nottingham and across the United Kingdom. While working in science, Sofia developed a deep passion for natural ingredients and their impact on overall wellbeing. She often spoke about how diet, medication, and stress can take a serious toll on hair health, and how self-care is not selfish but essential. Her belief has always been that hair care is confidence, whether you cover your hair or not.
Her journey became personal during pregnancy, when she became more conscious of what she was putting on and into her body. She wanted products that were natural, safe, and genuinely effective, but found that many options either compromised on results or relied on harsh synthetic ingredients. This inspired her to create her own formulations. Combining her scientific background with the purity of nature, she began developing simple, high-performing products that worked for real people and real results.
The brand launched with its signature Hair Growth Oil, inspired by traditional hair oiling practices but created with a modern, lightweight formula that absorbs easily and washes out cleanly. Before it even had a name, 200 pre-orders were placed purely through word of mouth and proven results. Soon after, the Frizz Ease Towel Turbie was launched to simplify hair drying and reduce frizz, selling 500 units before its official release.
SNI grew through authenticity and results, becoming a trusted name with a 60 to 80 percent returning customer rate. It represented more than just hair care. It became a reminder that caring for yourself is an act of love and confidence.
In 2020, Sofia faced one of the most difficult chapters of her life. A series of personal traumas and deep grief left her emotionally overwhelmed, and the weight of emotional dysregulation began to affect every part of her life. This became the turning point. She went on a journey of healing, reconnection, and rebuilding from within. Through faith, reflection, and emotional mastery, she rediscovered her strength and purpose.
That journey gave rise to Empowered by Sofia, a space dedicated to helping women lead their lives with clarity and calm rather than emotion and chaos. Now, as a Master Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner and Coach, Sofia now helps women become their best healed versions, manage their mental and emotional load, and build lasting confidence from within.
