A Hijabi's Hair Care Guide

Hijabi Haircare guide using SNI Haircare products, available online
Hello friends! A few days ago we received a message from our Hijab wearing sisters on how to care for their hair when they wear hijab and have their hair in a tight bun all day long. Our CEO Sofia is also Hijabi, and below are some tips and tricks she suggest to keep your hair nice and healthy whilst wearing the hijab.

Say No to Tight Buns & Ponytails

When your hair under the Hijab is tightly secured in an uncomfortable bun or tight ponytail, chances are the hairs will break easily because the hairs will be pulled from the root. What should you do instead? Try a loose braid or side pony tail which will help prevent any pain and is a better option if you are trying to prevent hair loss.

Frequent Scalp Massage

Show your hair some love by giving the scalp a good massage on a regular basis. Use the SNI Natural Hair Oil to increase blood circulation and giving your hair the nutrients it needs. Use the SNI Hair oil as a deep treatment mask twice a week.

Change to a Quality Shampoo

Alot of the Shampoos in the market are not actually good for your hair because they are filled with nasties such a silicones, parabens, and sulfates. Opt for our Miracle Growth or Protein Boost Shampoo range to make sure you are giving your hair the correct love it needs. Our Shampoos are 93.5-99% plant based and vegan and are literally a vitamin for your hair in a bottle! We recommend washing your hair 2-3 times a week.
Change your Hair Parting
If you are used to a middle part, change your hair parting to the side or vice versa. It is important to change your hair parting every now and then to allow your roots to breathe. The longer you wear your hair in one way, the more you weigh it down. This leads to breakage, hair thinning, and hair loss. If you have fringes, we recommend pinning your fringes to the side securely so that they don't pull, tangle, or come in the way of your hijab.

Let your Hair Breathe

When you are at home not wearing your hijab, try not to put it in a tight braid, bun, or pony tail. Brush it down and let it breathe! Remember, treat your hair like they are strands of gold.
We hope these tips are useful to our Hijabi customers. We love you all and thank you for your support.
As always,
Much love.
